B1 Language Course

The B1 German level is the intermediate stage of language learning, as outlined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). At this level, you can understand and use German in everyday situations more independently, handling various tasks and interactions with more fluency.

  • Comprehend the main points of clear standard speech on familiar topics like work, school, or leisure.
  • Engage in conversations about personal interests, goals, and opinions.
  • Describe events, dreams, and experiences, and briefly give reasons for opinions and plans.

This level introduces more complex grammar, such as subordinate clauses, reflexive verbs, and the past tense. You’ll also focus on improving reading comprehension for longer texts, writing structured paragraphs, and expressing yourself more confidently in a variety of social and professional contexts. B1 marks a step towards being able to live and work in a German-speaking environment.
